All the Japanese Enamels that we sell on our shop contain lead oxide, this is believed to give transparent colours greater clarity. Other chemicals may be present, which include Cadmium, Arsenic, Antimony & Barium. All these chemicals can be hazardous to health but when the safety guidelines are followed and the enamels are used in the correct manner, the potential risks are minimised.

P234: Keep in the original container provided

P284:Wear respiratory protection (When sifting enamels etc use a respirator or mask that filters out the fine particles of dust that are in the air) 

P261: Avoid breathing in dust, vapours, sprays, fumes 

P270: DO NOT Eat, smoke or drink whilst using this product

Wear an apron and wash the clothes that you wear regularly. Wash your hands, wipe down your work areas with wipes and discard in the correct manner.

P501: Dispose of the contents or /and containers in accordance with current legislation of the disposal of waste. Check with your local authority. 

P102: Keep out of the reach of children.

P263: Avoid contact during pregnancy or whilst nursing.

Be methodical in the way you work, keep your work area tidy, slip and hazard free.

I have now replaced all original images with test samples of my own but I encourage you to make your own test plates before using the enamels on a piece of work.
